Legal Services for Your Business

Whether it is starting a new small business, running a business, or moving on from one, small business owners often need help, but unlike larger corporations, cannot afford to have in-house counsel or a large law firm assist with day-to-day needs. The recipe to success is often finding an attorney who takes the time to understand your business and its goals at an affordable price.

Our legal services are there for you when you start your business on solid ground, for when you need a sharp eye on contracts, and if you face the need for litigation.

Contact us today to discuss your small business needs and if your need is ongoing you may benefit from General Counsel Services.

Starting a Business, the Right Way

Often times, friends, family and investors start a venture with so much excitement and urgency that they are off and running before formalizing an agreement to secure the business’s structure, or answer questions such as who has the authority to make (which) decisions or what happens when there is a disagreement.

Starting off on the right foot with all the proper formalities can save everyone a lot of time and money in the long run. Waiting until there is a time-sensitive purchase or partnership dispute is not the time you want to find out that your failure to formalize your business the right way is going to cost you. Roberts Law can assist with your startup plans and agreements, review contracts and leases, help set your business up with a team of professionals that will start you on the right path toward success.

Being proactive is the most cost-effective thing a business owner can do. Contact us today to tell us about your start-up!

Attorney Contract Review

Whether you are buying an existing business, signing a commercial lease, or negotiating a sales/vendor/subscription agreement, it is important to have an experienced attorney review the documents before you sign. It is heartbreaking to see businesses fail based on unfavorable lease or asset purchase terms, especially when it could have been avoided. Having an attorney involved in the review and drafting of contracts and agreements can prevent bad agreements from hindering your business from thriving.

Litigation Prevention

Expensive litigation can be the kiss of death for businesses. Even with good contracts and an A+ business acumen, disputes happen. Whether a dispute involves a vendor, business partner, customer, or landlord, Roberts law endeavors to exhaust all options before turning to litigation, which can become expensive, time-consuming, and have uncertain results. A key element to litigation prevention is communication; contact Roberts Law early in the process as early involvement can often streamline discussions, identify legal issues and risks, and save money in the long run. That said, if and when litigation is the answer, our zealous advocacy pivots from the boardroom to the courtroom without missing a beat.
